DAWN SHAW

Hi! My name is Dawn Shaw. I’m a 52-year-old single mother of three grown kids—ages 29, 27, and 19 (girl, boy, girl).

I started sharing my fashion finds in July 2020 during the pandemic as a way to make a little extra money, and it really took off in 2022. I ended up quitting my job as a surgical tech after 22 years to become a full-time fashion and beauty influencer—and I haven’t looked back since.

​

I wanted to help women find someone they could truly relate to on social media. There weren’t many women my age or size being represented, so I wanted to be that person for others. I’ve been many sizes throughout my life—from a 4/6 to a 16/18 and everything in between. My weight has always fluctuated, and in the last few years, I’ve noticed even more changes due to aging and menopause.

In late 2023, I began a health journey simply to feel better. I started exercising more and eating in a calorie deficit, and I’ve lost about 50 pounds along the way. I don’t have a goal weight or size—I’m just focused on feeling healthy and strong. I’m currently a size 12 (sometimes a 14, depending on the brand). I wear what fits and feels good, and I encourage you to do the same.

My page is all about body positivity and encouraging other women. With so much negativity in the world, I want this to be a safe, fun, and lighthearted space for you. For that reason, I rarely discuss controversial topics or politics.

​

I’m also a huge animal lover! If I could, I’d rescue every animal in need. I currently have four dogs and a cat—they’re a handful, but I adore them.

 

I’ve been single for 15 years, and honestly, I enjoy it. I’m not looking to date or be in a relationship anytime soon. I love spending time with my animals and my kids, and I cherish traveling with them—they’re my best friends. My oldest daughter recently got married, my son is a nurse, and my youngest just started college.
